Crackle is a free on-demand streaming service. You get to enjoy a wide range of shows and movies from a variety of genres. Along with the typical plethora of TV shows and Movies that most streaming services provide, Crackle also has original content for your viewing pleasure. It also provides a feature titled “Watchlist” allowing you to add movies for later viewing. This is useful for when you’re surfing Crackle and you come across those hidden gems.

Another useful feature is the ability to pick up where you left off as Crackle is available on various platforms, so going from your PC to tablet, to smartphone is easy peasy. You can even take a break from gaming and watch TV Shows and Movies without exiting your Playstation or XBOX. However, the one downside of Crackle is that it currently doesn’t allow for the ability to watch TV Shows and Movies offline. So you cannot download shows and movies to watch offline while you’re on a plane for example.

As stated on their website “Crackle is an ad-supported network available in the US and US territories. Running commercials with our programming allows us to ensure that Crackle’s service remains free to you in these regions.” So yeah, there are commercials, but it’s FREE so I find the trade-off a pretty good one. Especially, when you consider there are paid streaming services that still force you to watch a commercial. The one downside to Crackle is the lack of an offline feature, which is a bummer and can be a deal breaker for some of you. But if you’re just looking to enjoy free TV Shows and Movies, then Crackle is well worth taking a crack at!
